Feedback Integration in Chronic Stroke

Following explicit feedback on proprioceptive errors, feedback related negativity measured via EEG was severely impaired in individuals with impaired somatosensation (top). Following 3 weeks of proprioceptive training, these individuals had a restoration of more normative patterns, however their response latency was significantly delayed, suggesting continued impaired processing (bottom).
Proprioceptive Estimation in Chronic Stroke

Contingent negative variation (left) time locked to movement onset reflects proprioceptive-based online movement tracking of the fingers during facilitated movement assessments. The magnitude of the CNV signal was significantly correlated to proprioceptive performance, suggesting it may be a biomarker of movement estimation (right).
